Eloping used to mean 'running away to get married' - so why not plan an elopement while you're on holiday?
This interstate couple were coming to WA on vacation and decided to elope in Perth on their holiday. Here is their elopement story - in both their words and mine!
A private and meaningful Perth elopement ceremony
They wanted a simple and heartfelt ceremony, with their gorgeous child very much part of it all.
"We took our time looking at and researching different celebrants in Perth, and from the moment we had a first meeting with Sally we knew instantly she was the perfect fit for us."
A solid Plan B
A beach wedding was the dream! Plan A was to get hitched on the sand, but on the day a storm came in and it wasn't beach weather. This is where a great Plan B kicks in - in this case the courtyard of their beachside AirBnb where they were also staying. Boho picnic styling made it look amazing!

"We were travelling from a different state to elope and Sally provided perfect local recommendations for numerous things, nothing was ever too much trouble."
Live elopement music!
M organised an epic surprise for S - a live music acoustic duo to play the ceremony music. Hearing the special songs they’d chosen together performed live instead of through a speaker was a total vibe! You might think that live music is only for bigger weddings - but acoustic duo Lovesick added a beautiful energy to the intimate space.
Including their baby
They both spoke heartfelt vows, and as well as promising to love and care for each other, they promised to continue to share their love with their child and to support each other to be the best parents possible.
As they didn't know anyone in Perth, I asked one of my friends to be both a legal witness and official baby-holder for the ceremony.
"Sally's generous spirit shines through as she was always more than happy to answer any questions we had, support and guide us to make sure our day was special and meaningful to us."
A special elopement ritual
They included a Wine Box ritual, where they wrote love letters to each other and sealed them in a box with a bottle of wine they had made together, to open and enjoy on their 10th wedding anniversary.
Beach photos
The weather cleared just enough after the ceremony for a trip to the beach with photographer Kat from Red Eclectic for sunset photos.
Let the honeymoon begin - you're already on holiday!
By choosing a holiday elopement, and prioritising their travels over a huge wedding, this couple had the perfect hitching for them - and organised it all from inter-state by working with the right vendors to make it super-easy for two mums with baby!
"We were both very nervous on the day, but once we saw Sally we both relaxed and were able to enjoy and embrace the moment."
"Sally was beyond perfect in helping us create the most magical day that was personalised to include everything we wanted to. We highly recommend Sally, she is second to none!!"
